What is a virtual terminal?
A virtual terminal is a payment terminal hosted online. Virtual terminals are secure web pages in your internet browser from which you can process card payments online without your customer or their card being present. It is known as “virtual” because it has the same function as a physical card terminal, but instead, it uses non-physical transaction software.
Virtual terminals can be accessed and used from any device with an internet connection – be it a PC, a mobile, or a tablet.
